You have got to be shitting me.

A man has sperm in a sperm bank. He stops payment on it. His estranged wife (getting a divorce) picks up the tab on the frozen sperm without him knowing. She impregnates herself with this, without him knowing. She then sues him for child support.

Two words. Retroactive abortion.

And I don't mean on the new children.

That article is sick. She chose to have the baby, but wants someone else to pay for it.

The sad thing is, she will more than likely get the child support.

::shakes head::

Family laws as a whole need to be looked at. They're fucked seven ways from sunday.

Nobody will ever look into family laws because they are there to protect the mother and the child, fuck the sperm donors, I mean fathers.

I would love to see some new laws enacted protecting men from stupid whores like this woman, but that is not going to happen anytime soon.

Bullshit.

I've been divorced for 6 years and haven't seen a dime in child support. Why? Because Florida law says that an order for support has to be "hand delivered" to the father. So basically if he runs forever, he owes us NOTHING. EVER. It is retroactive, so if they ever *do* find him (which *I* have to pay for, by the way! (Dept. of Child Support Enforcement: 40 bucks a month for them to run his fucking social and get nada)then he'll owe, but if they never find him we get nothing.

The laws are seriously fucked and need to be drastically changed on BOTH parts. Right now little fuckwod deadbeat dads can frolick throughout life without one ounce of responsibility. That doesn't sound like a law protecting mommy and baby, does it?

That was pretty much what I was saying. The whole judicial system needs an overhaul. It's nothing but one huge loophole that you can only find if you have enough money or a huge head start.

I don't even know where to start, but I've seriously considered trying to draw up a petition or something to get this law changed. Other states don't have this (stupid) hand delivered law-- I got a divorce, full custoday and a restraining order against him without him having to be "found", yet they can't put child support in the divorce papers? I just don't understand that.

Yes, there are a lot of bitches AND assholes. Something needs to be done quickly, though. It's getting downright frightening!

Is it legal to hire a bounty hunter for this? Just offer 20% of what he already owes you, paid by the guy.

Hmm, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Satisfying job AND your backpack has jets!

Well, we can always report her as an abusive mother...

I'd be more likely to report her as a moneygrubbing whore who should be sterilized with lye and a branding iron. She may be a wonderful mommy, who knows. She's obviously a duplicitous bitch, though.

Don't mince words! Tell us what you really think!

In any case... family law hasn't kept pace with social realities and the technology that goes with them.

For instance, in the State of Florida, isn't the husband of the mother responsible for child support, irrespective of paternity? I.E... not your kid? who cares! Pay up. I think because the law was written before DNA testing made the attribution of paternity so certain.
